Murphy's Landing is a living history museum that faithfully re-creates the environment of a 19th-century Minnesota River town. The museum offers a glimpse into daily life along the river between 1840 and 1890--guides and "residents" dress and act according to the fashions of the era. The small town that the "settlers" occupy has all of the basics: businesses, entertainment, and the arts and crafts of the time. Watch for special events, like Minnesota River excursions, trolley rides and holiday celebrations.
