Quick Peek

"The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular Super Heroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross, and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to The Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as The Abomination, whose destructive strength exceeds even The Hulk's own. And on June 13, one scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk?

...the first Hulk. The Ang Lee one. We didn't hate that one apparently as much as most did, but this one is indeed better. People have been complaining about some pretty stupid stuff regarding the last one, but overall this one was a bit better. Ang Lee's version would have been better being not so long. It would ahve been better without so much Nolte. It was a kind of "origin" tale, so it was meant to be a little slower; it was kind of odd the way the whole thing was structured, but it was pretty cool. But people didn't think that Eric Bana was good, but he was. Norton is great, and was just a little better. The Hulk is supposed to propel himself off the ground and cover miles at a time; he isn't just supposed to be able to throw tractors, but not lift himself up past a couple floors. It doesn't make sense in the context of what is known of Hulk in the comics; if people want to harp on that. This film had moments of lulling in the plot, just a little bit, but just further proves that Stan Lee is THE MAN no matter who does what to his stories and Edward Norton is one fantastic actor. Having said that, Ang Lee's Hulk is not as bad as most think, but it was cool to see the Hulk and Abomination throw down; as somewhat anti-climactic of a fight that it was.

Pros: Norton, the flow, this Hulk did look grittier and more "real"

Cons: the Hulk apparently has no hops, fight at end wasn't as intense as anticipated
